The Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) is designed exclusively for BEVs and will provide various advantages that include increased development flexibility, increased driving range, powerful driving performance, more interior space for passengers and cargo, and strengthened safety features. Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) is the culmination of years of research and development and brings together cutting-edge technologies. The BEV lineup for Kia will evolve and be strengthened by the new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

The E-GMP platform will maximize development flexibility through standardization and modularization allowing for rapid development of new products which can be used across all vehicle segments, including sedans, crossovers and SUVs. This new platform will also enable Kia to grow its EV lineup over a short period of time.

With a design that is meant to deliver exciting performance, maximize interior space and increase safety protection, the E-GMP will change the auto industry. All new Kia models with the E-GMP platform will use a standardized single type of battery module that can be packed in different quantities as required for each new vehicle.
